Visit the EOHSI Media Design and Publishing Center

The Media Design and Publishing Center is located in room 241. The room is accessible to all EOHSI faculty/staff with a building slash card.

Scheduling Equipment

To schedule ENS multimedia and computer equipment, use the New On-Line ENS Equipment Scheduler. This includes scheduling for lcd projectors, laptops, scanners, slide shooter/sorter, large format(poster) printer, and digital camera. To access the ENS Equipment Scheduler log on to the Online Workorder and select 'Request to Schedule Equipment'.

Multimedia Demos

Fill out a workorder to make an appointment to learn how to use the scanners, slide shooter/scanner, video equipment or laser printers.

The Media Design and Publishing Center contains the following computer equipment:

2 pentium 1ghz and 1 pentium 1.8ghz workstations all with 19" monitors
HP Large format printer (prints up to 42")
HP4550 color laserjet printer
HP 2100 black and white laserjet printer
2 HP scanners (one with auto document feeder) (one with slide scanner attachment)
Propalatte 8500 slide maker
VCR/Video editing equipment

The following software is available:

Adobe - Acrobat 6, Photoshop CS, Pagemaker
Microsoft - Office 2003, Publisher
Macromedia - Dreamweaver CS, Fireworks, Flash
SAS, SPSS
DBMS Copy
Sigma Plot/Sigma Stat
Xerox Pagis Pro

 

Other Multimedia Equipment

In addition to this equipment ENS also has the following equipment available for faculty/staff use:

Gateway Destination system - The system consists of a 32" monitor, and a cordless keyboard and mouse. The system can be used for presentations to small groups, and as an alternative to an LCD projector for small groups
